Application requirements

(1)Apply for Qualification
Undergraduate students: Non Chinese citizens who have graduated from high school or above and are physically and mentally healthy;
(2)Language proficiency requirements
To apply for Chinese taught majors, the HSK score must meet the validity period (2 years) of the HSK Level 4 certificate;
Applicants for English taught majors, except for native English speakers, are required to submit IELTS scores of 5.5 or above, TOEFL scores of 70 or above, or other proof that reflects their English proficiency. Applicants with the highest level of education and the language of instruction in English do not need to provide language proof materials such as IELTS or TOEFL, but must submit proof of the language of instruction.
(3)Application time
From March 1st to June 30th every year (enrollment starts in September)
(4)Application materials
The applicant must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials:
1. Register and log in to the enrollment management system for international students studying in China at Shihezi University( http://wsbm.shzu.edu.cn/ )Fill in information;
2. Foreigner Physical Examination Form (to be completed in Chinese or English). The applicant shall carry out the examination in strict accordance with the items required in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form;
3. Notarized proof of relevant academic qualifications (texts other than Chinese and English must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese or English translation. Fresh graduates must submit a pre graduation certificate, and when registering at the school, they must bring their original graduation certificate and degree certificate for verification);
4. Notarized academic transcript (texts other than Chinese and English must be accompanied by a notarized Chinese or English translation);
5. Applicants for a doctoral degree are required to provide two letters of recommendation (recommended by associate professors or above, written in Chinese or English). Applicants for master's, undergraduate, and continuing education programs do not need to provide letters of recommendation;
6. Personal statement (written in Chinese or English, including self introduction, learning experience, and purpose of studying in China, no less than 800 words);
7. Certificate of no criminal record. The applicant must submit a valid certificate of no criminal record issued by the local public security organ, usually within 6 months before the date of application submission;
8. Proof of English or Chinese proficiency (required for applying for educational programs);
9. Valid regular passport homepage and visa information page.

Scan and upload all original documents above to the registration system. Materials filled in unclearly or incomplete will not be accepted.
